Javi and I really do love the page Groupalia where you can always purchase good offers for restaurants, hotels and activities. I've had basically throughout the whole summer friends or family staying at my place and since we recently moved to a new flat, had to renovate a lot and I've made a lot of extra hours during the last weeks, I wanted to relax a weekend without doing anything. When we discovered the offer for one night, spa and breakfast at Oñate Palacce, we didn't hesitate a second and bought it directly (just 40€ :o).

A few months ago I found Guadix unexpectedly during my Google researches and I fell in love with the pictures. Guadix is a little town which consists out of 18.000 habitants (is this already considered a village!?) settled near the Sierra Nevada and Granada. Close by you can find several nature parks and hiking routes, moreover movies like India Jones were filmed here!

Our journey started in the morning. We drove directly from Malaga to Guadix and made a little stop in Granada. The hotel's facade was really pretty but the inside was a dream. I felt like a princess in a castel. First of all we slept two hours because we were without power. Afterwards we headed to the city center and looked for a restaurants.

We relied on Tripadvisor and opted on a bar called La Bodeguilla. The votings were true: the tapas were great and the

waiter was the loveliest person ever. We ordered two drinks (each drink came with a free tapa. Omg I love Granada) and a plate of cheese and sausages and tomatoes. Unfortuanitely the restaurant doesn't offer warm plates for lunch but our choice was tasty anyway.

In the early afternoon we went to the spa which consisted out of a whirlpool, a turkish bath, a vichy shower, a pool and a sauna. Afterwards we left to hotel in order to expxlore the old town and all the important monuments. Even though Guadix is really stunning, we ended our sightseeing tour quite fast after two hours, as the city is small. We visited the cathedral, the little caves where people live inside, the former city wall and a castle.

In the eveining we had dinner at a restaurand called Don Jamon where we had a huge ration of Jamon Serrano for tapa and we also order a half ration of Lomo de Orza.

Afterwards we had a drink at the hotel bar and went to bed because the idea of this trip was to relax. In the next morning we enjoyed an amazing breakfast with a big offer (who doesn't love hotel breakfasts?!).

Around 12 we had to leave already and despite the fact that the trip was really short, I enjoyed it. The landscape was just pleasing and really worth it and the hotel was very excellent.
